Simple Truth. Simple Faith. Simple Christian.
Here you will find the Bible as our only rule for faith and practice. We seek to speak where the Bible speaks and to be silent where the Bible is silent. Jesus said, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 28:18-20). We are a Bible centered, mission minded, and family oriented church.
The churches of Christ find their origin in the New Testament. They are mentioned in Romans 16:16. Anywhere and at anytime people follow the New Testament pattern without addition or deletion calling Bible things by Bible names and doing Bible things in Bible ways, you will find a church of Christ. We are a product of the pure seed planted in pure hearts (Luke 8:11, I Peter 1:23). To be a church of Christ means to preach and practice the same message as taught in the New Testament. When any group of people leaves the New Testament pattern, they cease to be a church of Christ. We hope you will take some time to search the Scriptures and compare what we say and do with what you read.
The journey of coming into contact with salvation through the blood of Christ begins with a hearing of the gospel (Romans 10:17), which produces faith in us (Romans 10:17; Mark 16:16), and the realization that we are lost without Christ. We are commanded to repent of our sins and turn from our old ways (Acts 2:38), confess our belief that Jesus Christ is the son of God (Romans 10:9) and be baptized for the remission of our sins (Acts 22:16), and we are added to his church.
We believe in both living our daily life as an act of worship (Romans 12:1-2) and gathering the church body together to encourage one another (Hebrews 10:25). Our Sunday morning worship services include acapella singing , praying, sharing Bible Scriptures, the Lord’s Supper, contributing to a collection used to finance the church’s work, and listening to a Bible-based lesson presented by our pulpit Preacher. A weekly bulletin provides the plan for worship for members and visitors to follow along.
